The built-in security features of Renesas' RA MCUs bring a strong value proposition to the RA family. The Secure Cryptographic Engine (SCE9) consists of the access management circuit, the encryption engine, and a random number generation circuit. In combination with the SCE9 library, the SCE9 can prevent eavesdropping to maintain confidentiality, prevent falsification of information to ensure integrity, and determine impersonation attempts to verify authenticity. RA6M4 MCUs are also designed with power analysis resistance and built-in tamper detection. RA6M4 users will benefit from integrated secure element functionality, providing better performance, unlimited secure key storage, key management, and lower BOM cost.
