The RA family development environment offers support flexibility for different types of on-chip debuggers, IDEs, and compilers. Renesas' e² studio is the in-house IDE based on Eclipse, with open source C/C++ development tooling and is free to users. It has an advanced GUI to guide users through device selection, pin mapping, project generation, FSP driver selection, clock tree configuration, project building, debug, and project management. RA devices are also supported on Keil MDK and IAR embedded workbench. Renesas' e² studio has a built-in GNU compiler with optional IAR and Arm® compiler.
