Since the foundation of Radiocrafts, the company has been focused on industrial applications with high quality. This shows in the way Radiocrafts builds on proven solutions and adopts the solutions for high reliability. A key mechanism for reliability is Acknowledge/Retry on the MAC level. Each packet gets an automatic confirmation if the packet is received or not. If the packet is not received, then an automatic resend takes place. Another mechanism is Listen Before Talk (LBT). The radio will check if there is noise in the channel and only send if the channel is clear. The positive impact of Ack/Retry and LBT is clearly seen by the low packet loss. Radiocrafts achieved 99.93% success rate when running 28 nodes in parallel sending in a random transmit pattern in a network test done in December of 2018. Having a long range also means that there is a good margin to transmit in shorter distances when there are obstacles. IEEE 802.15.4 e/g RF is industry-proven. It was released in 2012 and is still very efficient for two-way low power RF connectivity. JSON, JavaScript Object Notation, was specified in the early 2000s and is defined in RFC 8259. All of the modules shipped from Radiocrafts are tested on the RF level, ensuring high quality for each individual module. This has resulted in impressively low give backs of the over 2 million modules shipped and very satisfied customers all over the world.
