They are carefully constructed to provide the degree of safety intended for use with the end product. Before selecting one the customer must know what it is expected it to do. What is the electrical requirement? What is the physical abuse it must withstand? What is the environment that it will be exposed to? Answers to these questions will help agency certification engineers approve, or maintain approval, on the end product.
