Designed for the most stringent electrical requirements, screw clamp connection technology has been in use for over 90 years and have been proven a billion times over across many applications. An important characteristic is the maintenance-free wire connection. There is no need to re-tighten the terminal block screws (fasteners). The screws are prevented from loosening by a highly engineered design principle, a screw locking technique developed and patented by Phoenix Contact known as the Reakdyne Principle. Conductors for screw clamp connection terminal blocks can be clamped without any pretreatment. Use of ferrules prevents unwanted splicing. A key differentiator of the screw clamping body is a multi-conductor connection, which means the user can place two wires in the same terminal point.
