Product List
This chart provides a comparison of several capacitor technologies with ESR in mΩ plotted on the “Y” axis and capacitance in µF plotted on the “X” axis. Panasonic’s "SP-Cap" is targeted for applications that require very low ESRs in single digits or low teen mΩ range, high ripple currents and a moderate amount of capacitance from tens of µF up to 560µF. "SP-Cap" falls in between MLCCs and polymer or conventional tantalum capacitors. MLCCs are good for very low ESR but relatively expensive for capacitance, while tantalums are good for capacitance but more expensive for low ESR. "SP-Cap" offers good price performance for a combination of ESR and capacitance.
