"SP-Cap" comes in a D case footprint 7.3 mm x 4.3 mm. It is available in several heights from 1.2 mm to 4.3 mm. The primary case sizes are 1.8mm, 2.0mm, 2.8mm and 4.3mm. As the case height increases, more aluminum layers can be added which will increase the capacitance and ripple current capability and decrease the ESR. There are two standard series of "SP-Cap" available. The first contains the CD and CX series (in order of lower profile). The second is the S series which has low ESR and high ripple current ratings. The S series includes the ST, SX and SL devices, also in order of lower profile. The standard and S series units are rated at 105ºC. The G and L series are more recent “SP-Cap” products available from Panasonic. The G series has super low ESR, is 260ºC reflow solder applicable and is rated at 105ºC. The L series is has low ESL, super low ESR, is also 260ºC reflow solder applicable and rated at 105ºC. The part numbering system for "SP-Cap" starts with a prefix of EEF followed by the series code, voltage rating, capacitance value, reflow temperature and packaging suffix.
