For a series SPST (Single Pole, Single Throw) switch has a minimum Insertion Loss over a wide range of frequency. Insertion Loss depends on the forward resistance of the diode and Isolation depends on the capacitance of the diode. The operations are very straight forward. When forward biased, the SPST switch is “ON” and When reverse biased, the SPST switch is “OFF”.
