In the product user manual, each microcontroller peripheral’s input/output signals are described fully in the pin description. The corresponding Switch Matrix register where the pin assignment is made, is given in the same table. Engineers can move quickly from understanding signal definitions to making pin assignments by clicking through the document’s navigation links. All port pins of the microcontroller are enumerated so that writing an 8-bit value to the pin assignment register is all that is needed for the peripheral function to be enabled on a pin.
