In summary, NXP broadens their offering of ARM® MCUs with the addition of the Kinetis L series using the new Cortex™ M0+ core. Cortex™ M0+ offers a combination of energy efficiency, scalability and ease of use, making it ideal for enabling designers stuck in 8/16 bit designs to differentiate their product offerings through the feature and performance benefits of a 32-bit solution at the price point and the ease of use of an 8-bit device. The first Kinetis L devices will launch in September of 2012 with fully qualified silicon and low cost easy to use development tools.
