On the right are the ones offered for the Cortex-M4. NXP offers complimentary Linux and Android software releases that are already ported and tested for the i.MX 8M. All the software can be easily downloaded and used with the Evaluation Kit. NXP is very committed to the software enablement support with the Android BSP; the development to production of many consumer products has been achieved in around 4 months. With over 25,000 downloads to date, the Android BSP has been used across multiple markets – auto, industrial and consumer. In Linux, the i.MX application processors leadership consists of: Silver Member of Linux Foundation, and AGL Working Group Bronze Member. Over the past 15 years, there have been over 39,000 Linux downloads, and multiple i.MX customer engagements are using GENIVI solutions, in which NXP has more compliant platforms than ANY semiconductor vendor. Also, there are several partners offering additional OS and RTOS, providing a broader enablement offering for i.MX 8M.
