Attached directly to the MCSK board is a small three phase BLDC motor, perfect for learning sensorless BLDC control and performing some basic experiments. To power the built in motor, the MCSK uses a simple, common three phase hardware design. This design incorporates Microchip’s TC4428 dual FET drivers for added performance. All hardware, schematics and bill of materials are available from www.microchip.com/mcsk. The simple motor driver design makes it a good starting point for learning BLDC motor driver hardware design.
