RTDs have very good linearity, particularly at temperatures less than 250°C. The resistance of the RTD over temperature is given by the Callendar-Van Dusen equation. Applying linearization based on this equation will provide greater accuracy over temperature than simply assuming the RTD is perfectly linear.
