In contrast to the passive alarm models, the MSS5M1 has three control pins that allow the user to choose which priority sound to emit. The user needs only to have their equipment supply a +5Vdc supply and select the appropriate control pins and the alarm will produce the low, medium, or high priority sound with the appropriate complex beeping sequence as required by the IEC60601-1-8 standard.
