There are two versions of Littelfuse TMOVs, one with two leads and one with three leads, the iTMOV. The third lead of the iTMOV brings out the junction between the thermal cutoff and the MOV disc to allow electrical status monitoring. Various connection possibilities exist, as shown here to indicate to the user whether the MOV is still working as designed, or if it became disconnected due to an event.
