VDRM is the maximum voltage that can be applied to the SIDACtor device without triggering the device into conduction. The threshold for conduction, called IDRM is usually defined as 5 microamps. This means that the VDRM value should be larger than the highest expected operating voltage of the system. If operating voltages exceed the VDRM, even for an instant, the SIDACtor device may interfere with the system operation. Because increasing temperatures will increase device leakage, the VDRM will drop with increasing temperature.
