For applications that do not require constant monitoring of all lines, a single DPM can monitor numerous inputs by adding a switch or multiplexer between the loads and the device. The circuit shown here uses the low voltage ISL54057 switch to select one of four different inputs to the auxiliary lines of the digital power monitor. The switch/mux channel selection is programmed using the DAC output and the SMBAlert2 line, thereby removing the need of extra I/O lines from the microcontroller.
