The Ceramic Tweezers include the MZ series and ZJ series that are an Advanced Ceramic made of Zirconia Toughened Alumina (ZTA) with a combination of high strength, high hardness and rigidity. MZ white tips are electrically insulative while ZJ black tips are ESD safe (10⁷ - 10⁹ Ohm). Both series offer relatively low density, no open porosity, very hard surface, good abrasion and wear resistance, good flexural strength and fracture toughness, excellent thermal properties and high temperature stability, extreme corrosion resistance, and is nearly chemically inert. Typical applications includes soldering processes, handling of components during thermal and chemical processes; ideal for high grade applications in clean rooms, chemistry, semiconductor and electronics manufacturing, biotechnology and nanotechnology. Generally used when very rigid tips are required.

 

The PSZ series is a Precision high performance Ceramic made of a partially stabilized zirconia, both hard and fracture tough. The fine grain size gives an excellent surface finish allowing for a sharp edge. The PSZ series has relatively low density, no open porosity, good abrasion and wear resistance, superior flexural strength and fracture toughness, good thermal properties and good temperature stability, extreme corrosion resistance and is nearly chemically inert. The PSZ series is electrically insulative until 400 to 500°C. Ideal for handling of components during thermal, chemical and soldering processes. Ideal for high grade applications in clean rooms, chemistry, semiconductor and electronics manufacturing, analytical chemistry, biotechnology and nanotechnology.
