Elevators use limit switches to detect the position of the car as it passes by each floor. The switch sends a signal to the control panel. One to two switches are used for each floor position. Two to three switches are used in accessibility lifts to detect the position of the lift: stowed or extended. Long life and performance reliability are required in these applications. The NGC precision snap-action design, and positive-break contacts ensure actuating characteristics over the life of the products. The 5 Million life cycles makes this a good solution for applications with high frequency of operation.
