A comprehensive range of shell housings supports the integration of cable mounted connectors into the rack system. Plastic housings are offered for all standard body types, har-bus® 64, and complementary types 2C and 3C. Various fixing systems and housing accessories are available. For backplane/midplane applications, connectors can be fitted with pin shrouds which allow rear plug-up of additional boards or cable assemblies. To accommodate the various board thicknesses and connector tail lengths, HARTING offers numerous pin shrouds with different stand-off heights. By selecting the stand-off height for the specific application, additional stand-off hardware is unnecessary. Shrouds can be fitted with locking levers or fixing elements, providing secure fixing to the mating connector.
