Type M connectors allow mixed configurations, combining signal contacts with up to ten “special” contacts. These contacts are available for coaxial (50 or 75Ω), high voltage (2.8kV), fiber optic, and high current (up to 40A). Male connectors are available as standard and inverse styles; females are only available in standard straight termination. Contacts and connectors are delivered separately. Assembly and removal tools allow for easy termination and handling. HARTING can deliver pre-assembled connectors on request. This can be useful for PCB mount connectors (press-in or solder) as they can be fitted directly to the PCB without additional assembly.
