The XM-L2 is the industry’s highest performance single-die LED delivering up to 186 lumens per watt (LPW) in cool white, and up to 1198 lm at 10 W or over 116 LPW at 10 W. XM-L2 delivers investment protection for XM designs, enabling customers to easily incorporate XM-L2 LED into existing XM-L LED designs for an immediate boost in performance. For ENERGY STAR, the XM-L2 LED is a “successor” product to the original XM-L LED for LM-80 data. This means that ENERGY STAR will allow full qualification of lighting products using XM-L2 using just 3000 hours of LM-80 data, instead of the normal 6000 hours. The XM-L2, like the XP-G2 and the XP-E2 is built on Cree’s revolutionary SC - Cubed technology platform.
