The solar power inverter converts the variable DC output of a photovoltaic cell into usable AC. If the design calls for a MOSFET / IGBT, then a MOSFET / IGBT coupler would be used. If there is a communications or monitoring circuit, then high-speed optocouplers could be used to isolate the high power feedback input from the control circuit. There could also be high-speed couplers between the control circuit and the DC/DC converter.
