National Electrical Manufacturer’s Association (NEMA), originally developed for the Electrical Industry, specifies a series of enclosures that meet specific guidelines to protect components from the environment in which they are being used. As recently as 25 years ago, the concept of NEMA products was non-existent in the electronics market place. Today, with the pervasive adoption of electronics into such areas as factory floors, both indoor and outdoor controls, and telecommunications, NEMA enclosure growth has led the market in becoming the fastest growth segment in the industry.
