Coupling factor is a simple parameter to characterize an inductor’s magnetic flux radiation level. A lower inductor coupling factor indicates a lower magnetic flux radiation, or higher level of shielding. As mentioned earlier, the SRP series inductor is completely encapsulated with magnetic metal alloy powder. As a result, the emission of magnetic flux generated from the winding is minimally kept to the surrounding outer perimeter of the inductor to prevent interference with the normal function of adjacent components. The SRP inductor series is registered at 0.27% of coupling factor in this demonstration, which is the lowest among other popular ferrite core inductors.
