The first family of amplifiers to be discussed is the low noise amplifiers. The ADL5521 and ADL5523 offer broadband operation from 400MHz to 4GHz and noise figures as low as 0.8dB (ADL5523). The ADL5521 and ADL5523 are pin-compatible and offer different gain options and high output third-order intercept points, while maintaining a low power consumption. Minimum external tuning components are required due to the internal active bias and the integrated DC blocking capacitors. Each device also supports an adjustable bias feature which can be optimized for 3V to 5V operation, and supply current from 60mA to 30mA or lower.
