Auto-zero amplifiers and gain programmable amplifiers usually have the lowest possible drift. However, temperature drift can also be introduced through the feedback resistors. If one of the resistors is closer to a hot component, its resistance will change at a different rate then the cooler resistor resulting in a temperature drift error. If the resistors are integrated within the IC package, they will change at the same rate and the problem will be eliminated.
