The HD-BNC™ uses the same cable stripping and crimping tools as the BNC, thus no additional training for installation personnel. Amphenol has designed an installation tool for applications where standard hand installation is not permissible due to the density of the connectors. The removal tool shown slides on from the cable side of the connector along the axis of the cable, fits over the coupling sleeve, and then is actuated by a twisting motion. There is a complete product portfolio for the HD-BNC™ available which includes a calibration kit, terminations, tooling and precision adapters.
