With the design of the HD-BNC™, Amphenol relied on the same features that are common and widely known with the BNC. The Amphenol RF HD-BNC™ 50 Ohm connector has the familiar and trusted bayonet style locking feature of the traditional BNC. The design of the insulator acts as a guide over the contact, preventing damage to the contact in the mating cycle, thus providing a closed entry interface. Successful mating of connectors can be visually controlled with the bayonet location.
