FFC, FPC (Flat Flexible) Connector Contacts

Products in this family are electrical contacts designed for application to Flat Flexible Cable (FFC) or Flexible Printed Circuit (FPC) materials, and inserted into a housing as a means of creating a connector system for wire-to-board applications. Often used as a substitute for common "ribbon" cables that are terminated using Insulation Displacement Connectors (IDCs) due to its lesser thickness, application of contacts to typical FFC material requires a higher degree of precision than the earlier IDC process and is more difficult to achieve without proper tooling.
