The F1680 also contains one multi-channel timer that features a 16-bit up/down counter with a reload function and supports four independent capture/compare/PWM modules synchronized to the common timer.  It also has four capture inputs with selectable rising or falling edge triggers.  Interrupts are triggered either by the timer or one of the four capture/compare channels. There is also a selectable system clock or timer input gated system clock. Similar to the individual timers, the multi-channel timer has a configurable system clock prescaler ranging from 1 to 128.  It also supports one-shot compare, continuous compare, capture, and PWM output modes featuring four edge-aligned or center-aligned PWM outputs for motor control.
