This slide shows how to assemble and install the chip clip heat sink. First, attach the thermal pad to the bottom of the heat sink and assemble the clip by adding the spring assembly. Second, center the heat sink onto the chip device by tilting and hooking one side of the clip under the chip device. Next, press down the other side of the clip to “snap onto’ the chip device. Finally, make sure the stop pin is not on top of the clip set. Installation is now complete.
