This page compares the breakdown voltage difference of the XClampR® TVS and a similar breakdown voltage type of the conventional TVS 5KASMC24A series. The XMC7K24CA has only 1.5 V different breakdown voltage at -40°C through +125°C junction temperature. The breakdown voltage difference of the XClampR TVS is much smaller than the difference of conventional TVS, such as 3.6 V of 5KASMC22A, 4 V of 5KASMC24A, and 5 V of 5KASMC28A. The extremely stable breakdown voltage of the XClampR TVS can make stable operation of circuits in wide temperature ranges.
