At Viking Technology, the DVT process involves a variety of tests, including, but not limited to, the following tests: Signal Integrity Testing is performed to verify that the timing signals meet product specification. Signal Quality Testing determines if there is any phenomena like undershoot, overshoot, reflection, glitch, noise, or ring back effect on the signal, and that the signal is of good quality. DVT also involves measurements approved by JEDEC standards taken during load testing, which is conducted under light load and heavy load to see the effect of loading on performance. Measurements taken from an Analyzer or Oscilloscope during testing are recorded. Besides signal testing, an Environment Stress Test is performed for new designs and Die Qualification on existing designs. The Compatibility Test is another type of test which is performed to determine the compatibility of memory modules with different test systems, operating systems, and software.
