Texas Instruments’ portfolio of level shifter devices contains several different types of devices that collectively are able to address almost any application requirement. Auto-direction sensing level translators for open drain applications are available in multiple channel configurations. Bidirectional multi-voltage level translators supporting push-pull architectures for faster data rates and open drain architectures for slower data rates are available in many channel count configurations. Dual supply direction controlled push-pull level translators are ideal for faster data rate and larger drive current applications where pin control of voltage direction is possible. Auto-direction controlled push-pull level translators offer the convenience of auto-direction voltage sensing while offering faster data rate support commonly associated with push-pull architectures. Finally, application specific level translators are available in both push-pull and open-drain architectures offering level translation solutions required for implementation of interfaces associated with standards such as I2C, SPI, SMBUS, SD Card, USB, Audio Codecs, and many other common standards.
