Current Shunt Monitors Slide 5

To achieve this common-mode capability, the internal circuitry of a current shunt monitor can be very complicated with different ranges of performance based on the common-mode voltage and input ranges. Some current shunt monitors perform best with input voltages above 20mV while others can go down to 2mV. The demand for current shunt monitors is steadily growing in part from increasing attention to power efficiency.
