For Swissbit’s 2.5” SSD versions, an aluminum die cast housing is used which is very robust and offers additional good shielding against EMI issues plus a very high thermal dissipation. Swissbit added a thermal conducting pad which connects the controller to the housing and reduces the critical temperature by 5° to 12°C depending on the workload.
