IoT devices will be everywhere from the home to industrial applications. Manufacturers and producers need to get to market faster by bringing the latest low power MCUs, wireless technologies, and mesh networking standards including ZigBee and Thread to connected home applications. Smart wearables have also exploded in popularity, largely due to their increase in utility. Because they are primarily battery-powered, energy-friendly components are important. Examples of industrial applications today would be smart metering and distributed systems of connected sensors throughout many manufacturing processes. Additionally, due to the broad scope of these applications, there is a need for technology that can connect these devices easily and that is highly integrated.
