Additionally, dielectric absorption is caused by the delay in time of polarization of dielectric material. Measurement data of dielectric absorption is shown at the top left chart. Dielectric absorption of PMLCAPs is almost identical to that of polyester capacitors while still being much smaller than MLCCs. Other than the polypropylene capacitor which is huge in comparison, there is no substitute for PMLCAPs which provide excellent dielectric absorption within the similar size range. Another remarkable feature is low leakage current. The bottom right chart indicates the leakage current comparison among various type of capacitors including aluminum, tantalum, ceramic and PMLCAPs. The PMLCAPs provide very stable low leakage current over a wide temperature range.
