The illustration on this slide shows a real design of ROHM’s unique PBUS function. The MSET1 and MSET2 pins control together with the PBUS function. Designers can realize light behavior according to the specification required by car manufacturers by simple sets of connections of these pins. If the designer wants to maintain or operate normal channels but only turn off the fault channel, they can simply leave the MSET1 pin in an open state. If the designer wants to shut down all the channels of the device, simply connect MSET1 pin to GND. Furthermore, if the requirement is to kill all of the channels (one-out/all-out) by detecting a fault condition, then use the PBUS feature to perform the all-off function.
