IntraVUE® takes a holistic approach to analytics on the operations system. They look not only at the connectivity, but at everything from the switches to the devices and even parts of the application to triage root cause of failure when it occurs. Damaged connections can be detected by looking at device connection failure data, collected for every device being monitored within the IntraVUE dashboard. Failed devices can be rapidly identified simply by disconnection events, logged in the global event log. Alerts can also be triggered based on these disconnection events. Application problems can be identified by comparing bandwidth data to real-time connection performance data, both of which are available on a device-by-device basis. Architecture problems such as device moves, duplicate IP addresses, broadcast storms, and other network issues can be rapidly triaged by looking at the data collected and reviewable within the interface.
