Motor drivers are not something that Sanyo has just recently decided to develop. They have been around as a focus product for over thirty years. Sanyo has been leading the way to meet the requirements of new design specifications. For example, when lower power was needed, the DMOS process met that challenge. Enhanced safety features, which were previously discussed in the presentation came next along with pin compatible line ups, external part integration, silent drive, and so on. Sanyo will continue to innovate and, as an example, are pursuing three phase stepper motor drivers and ultra-micro steps.
