Product List
In the diagram on this slide, the microcontroller is still the heart of the system, but is supported by a separate RTC. A stand-alone RTC can achieve higher accuracy and/or lower power consumption than an integrated RTC. Usually an integrated RTC will not have temperature compensation while some stand-alone RTCs have temperature compensation in order to achieve high accuracy. Due to the use of an optimal process for RTC construction, current consumption can be very low.
