The FSP is a hardware module that enables faster computation of some of the frequently used math and signal processing operations. Comparing the time consumed by FSP module and Cortex-M4F for the same calculation as the table in the slides, obviously FSP uses much less time than MCU software processing. Consequently, the system can stay longer in low power mode and further reduce the power consumption.
