The MPR121 uses a supply current of only 29μA and supports up to 12 electrodes from a compact 3mm by 3mm package. The added intelligence provides a new auto-configuration system, a 2nd generation filtering system for improved accuracy, and 100% independent electrode control. It also has a wider voltage range than NXP’s previous MPR031 two-electrode device and is easy to design-in with only one external component required.
