The last step in programming the Development Kit is downloading the images and attributes. Start by connecting the Development Kit to a computer using a RS232 communication cable or a USB with an adapter. Open the Universal Communicator and select the Comm Port Number, using 57,600 as the Comm Port Speed. Next, turn on the Development Kit. The OLED kit will display brightness level first before showing any programmed images. On the Universal Communicator window, click on call located on the right had side of the window. If the Communicator responds with a message of 61 on the left hand side of the screen, the communication with the controller is good. If it does not respond with a 61, that means there is an issue with the cabling, Comm Port, or Comm Port setting.
