As the analog accelerometers are not recommended for new designs, this overview is confined to those models with digital output. Accelerometer models other than the SCA3060 have an operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C, with the SCA3060 operating over the range of -40°C to 105°C. All models are qualified to AEC-Q100, the quality standard for stress testing of integrated circuits in automotive electronics. All digital models operate from an input source of 3.3V. All models have common dimensions of 7.6mm x 8.6mm x 3.3mm high, and share common packaging in the DFL plastic package with a metal lid. All models are RoHS compliant and utilize the four-wire serial SPI interface. The product models and basic specifications are tabulated on this slide. The SCA800 models measure acceleration in a single axis. Models are available with the axis in all three directions relative to the PCB, allowing for flexible mounting options. The range of force measurement for the SCA800 series is ±2g, with the exception of the SCA830-D07 which has a range of ±1g. SCA2100 models provide for measurement of acceleration in two axes with X-Y, X-Z, and Y-Z orientations available. The range of acceleration for the SCA2100 models is also ±2g. The SCA3100 models provide for simultaneous force measurement in all three axes. Here, two models are available, one with a range of ±2g and the other with a range of ±6g. Lastly, the SCA3060 also provides for force measurement in three axes, but in a low-cost configuration not intended for safety-critical automotive applications, but certainly suited to most any other automotive or industrial application. The measurement range for the SCA3060 is also ±2g.
