Murata’s gyroscopes and combined sensors (including gyroscope and accelerometer) are based on the company's proven 3D MEMS technology and highly integrated electronics. Industrial gyroscopes offer a performance level that typically has been available only for expensive module products. Sensing elements and the measuring circuitry are assembled into a pre-molded plastic dual-in-line (DIL) package, protected with silicon gel and a stainless steel lid. All products are RoHS compatible and suitable for lead-free reflow soldering. The product models and basic specifications are tabulated here. Both series are integrated in the same compact package measuring 12.1mm x 19.71mm x 4.6mm high. Both are fully digital with SPI interface and operate over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to 125°C. These gyros are all insensitive to vibration and shock, and have superior bias stability for MEMS gyros. All gyros include enhanced self-diagnostic features. The SCR1100 is a single-axis gyro while the SCC1300 integrates three directional accelerometers with a single axis gyro. Two models are available in each series, one with wider range and consequently lower sensitivity, and the other with a smaller range yielding higher sensitivity.
