This slide visually shows the placement of key features on the board. Beginning with item 1, the heart of this Curiosity board, the PIC24FJ GA204 General Purpose XLP microcontroller with integrated hardware crypto engine. Number 2 indicates where the PKOB is located on the board. On the left edge of the board, at number 3, is the micro-B USB connector for programming and power. Below this is the reset button at number 4. Items numbered 5, are the dual female headers for access to the microcontroller I/O pins. Continuing to the right is the potentiometer at number 6 and the LEDs at 7. Above these is a bread boarding area, number 8, where the user’s circuitry can be added. Located at 9 is the MikroBUS™ interface for hardware expansion with the MikroElektronika Click boards. Lastly, number 10 is predefined slot to add a Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy module, namely the Microchip BM71.
