Shown on this slide is an overview of the PIC24F Curiosity Board. It is a demonstration, development, and experimentation platform based on the 16-bit PIC24FJ128GA204 extreme Low Power (XLP) microcontroller. The board includes the added benefit of an integrated hardware crypto engine, providing much needed security which is often a critical requirement for many applications. It has various user interface options including an analog potentiometer, physical switches, Red/Green/Blue (RGB) LEDs, plus two general purpose indicator LEDs. The Curiosity development board includes an integrated programmer/debugger with a USB Interface which means no additional hardware is required to get going. It seamlessly integrates with MPLAB Xpress Cloud-based IDE and MPLAB Code Configurator for an easy, straightforward path to development and debug. It is also supported with over 200 MikroElektronika mikroBUS™ interface add-on Click boards™, providing a vast amount of functionality to tap into; such as the Digi-Pot or GPS, for example.
